The Ret occurrence is located about 5 kilometres east of Gallic Lake, 112 kilometres north of the community of Dease Lake.

Serpentinized peridotite of the Permian Slide Mountain Complex outcrops in a north-trending cirque where a few chrysotile fibre veins are present.

In 1963, the Ret claims were located by G. Fielding and are owned by J.D. Grayson. In 1965, G. Dirom prospected the claims.
